1. “Search”
OR
2. “Guided Search” – link above the Search box to reach specific County partners and collections. See following instructions to continue.
3. In the top search bar type in the name or word you want to search.
4. For multiple words use the next line WITHOUT quotation marks.
5. Choose the date range.
6. From the drop-down list of partners, select the collection you want:
- Bastrop Advertiser – Bastrop Public Library.
- Elgin Courier – Elgin Public Library
- Smithville Times — Smithville Public Library
7. From the drop-down list of collections – select the matching record.
8. Select from bottom list for sort result — “Date created“
9. Click on Search.
10. Hits will result in individual newspapers – click on the text of the newspaper name and date.
11. This will show the pages with the contain the word.
12. Click one at a time and see the word highlighted in yellow. You can zoom to make the page larger.
13. When done use the back arrow to return, start another search, and continue.
